Hongkou park

I mentioned in my previous posts, that I spent part of the summer in Shanghai working for Hull University. Here are some photos of the hotel room, the campus and the surrounding area.

This is the view from the 16th floor.
The view to the left, with the high towers of the Bund in the background. The buildings in front towards the left hand side belong to SISU university. They are part of the campus.
The gym, directly opposite. It houses a pool, too.
The view to the right. Over the bridge you can see in the bottom left runs one of the metro lines.
That's the sports field behind the gym. It is quite busy early in the morning and in the evening, when it's either cool and not sunny. People of all ages gather there to either run around the track, play various sports, do yoga or Tai Chi or simply walk a few laps.
This is again the view to the left.
The bedroom

Wardrobe on the left, bathroom on the right.
The living room

The closest park. Opens at 5am and closes at 7pm.

People walking or running around the paths.

People gather to do yoga, Tai Chi, square dancing and whatever activities you can imagine.

Yoga.

Some people have to work, whilst other do their early morning exercise.

If you would like to read more by me, here are my novel and my diary from Ar'ar, in the northern Saudi desert. Both available on Amazon as soft and hard copy.
